a capacity for trans-dimentional perception that’s alarming

packed within my double helix a former life as Darwin

seeing not only the trunk of the tree, but

the infinity of branches and paths that cut

through air, time and change to bind with one another

marbles of ancestral data gaining mass from child to mother

and you recoil to see grains of sand

or an entire multiverse of stars in your hand

sometimes we rap in fragments

rocketing out into cotangents

the way I divide adjacent by opposite

melding together hybrids or composites
